Three Tenessee football players have been arrested for attempted armed robbery. All three players are freshmen. They are wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson, and two defensive backs Janzen Jackson and Mike Edwards.

Did they think they could get away with it? What a stupid gamble. And just like any form of gambling, they don’t have much chance to win. Less than 48 hours ago, ex NBA superstar, Antoine Walker made the news about his gambling problem. And blogs all over the internet are buzzing about it. Now this happens.
The three freshmen football player are not pros yet. With this incident I don’t think they will be pros. Listen…is is very difficult to make it to the NFL and they know it. Probably they choose to be thugs instead. What an idiot.
Now listen, I agree this has nothing to do with their race or skin color…they’re just immature individuals who didn’t know what’s wrong and what’s right. I’m not sure what kind of sentence they are facing under the Tennessee law, but usually 7-10 years for robbery plus another 10 years for carrying a weapon.
Arturo Gatti’s wife was arrested for the death of the boxing champion, but then the officials released her because they couldn’t find any involvement in Gatti’s death. It’s ruled a suicide. At least in the US, nobody can be charged if the autopsy result is a suicide so I think she will be scott free. His wife, Amanda Rodriguez Gatti, is a sole beneficiary of their $6 million dollar mansion.
According to ESPN’s E60, Gatti beat his wife and another guy in a restaurant where he was last seen alive in public. He went back to the hotel and drank 7 cans of beer and later found dead with head injury and belt around his neck. People close to him did not believe Arturo Gatti had commited suicde. He’s a fighter, he doesn’t give up…it makes no sense.

NBA guards are known to have incredible dribbling skills or what we call “ankle breaker” dribble.

Tim Donaghy is launching is book where he tells about days when he rigged NBA games and bet on them. According to a wikipedia article, his profit from betting is somewhere around $30K. In his new book he claims there are more “people” involved in rigging/scamming NBA games.
A sports betting expert, RJ Bell, tracked every game Donaghy worked from 2003 to 2007. He discovered that during the two seasons investigated by the NBA, the teams involved scored more points than expected by the Las Vegas sports books 57 percent of the time. In the previous two seasons, this only happened 44 percent of the time.
According to Bell, the odds of such a discrepancy are 1 in 1,000, and there was “a 99.9 percent chance that these results would not have happened without an outside factor”. He also found 10 straight games in 2007 in which Donaghy worked the game that the point spread moved 1.5 points or more before the tip—an indication that big money had been wagered on the game. While interogated by the FBI, Tim Donaghy confessed that other referees were also fixing the game in Western Conference final between the Lakers and the Kings. Tim said the NBA had wanted to extend the series as long as possible for ticket and tv rights profits. Also the NBA would reprimand referees for calling technical fouls to mega star players.
I guess the NBA doesn’t care about Rasheed Wallace who gets called OT every other time he plays a game.

Is Elizabeth Lambert a dirty soccer player? The answer is obvious YES. She is such a dirty soccer player. Did you see what she did to her opponents on a conference semifinal game? She threw punches, yanked a girl’s hair, and other violent things that should have resulted in a straight up red card. Or at least 2 yellow cards.
Urban Meyer and Pete Carroll arguably are the best college football coaches in the nation now. Both have won national titles and produced Heisman Trophy winners. Meyer is an offensive coach and Carroll is a defensive coach. This can be seen from their players who play in the NFL. As far as preparing players for the NFL, Carroll has advantage in this area. Pete Carroll’s starting players are most likely to be drafted to the NFL and Carroll has produced more high quality NFL players than Meyer. Who do you think is a better college football coach?
Elgin Baylor has been fired from his General Manager position by the Los Angeles Clippers. Mr. Baylor claims the Clippers fires him because of his age and his skin color and he is filing a lawsuit against the Clippers’ owner and the NBA. Do you think Elgin is telling the truth? If you are a basketball player, you probably need all these skills to play good basketball. Here are suggestions on how you can improve these main skills in basketball:
Shooting – practice your shooting skill often. Especially if you are a guard. Make sure there is a little bit of space between your palm and the basketball when you hold the basketball before you release it. Practice your shooting on a still position, catch and shoot technique, and fake and shoot. Both feet should be pointing to the basket and power should come from both of your legs. Follow through on evert shot.
Dribbling – DO NOT look the ball while you are dribbling. Your eyes should see what’s happening on the basketball court not the ball. Practice to dribble low and always protect the ball with your free hand. Put the ball on your side and shield the ball with your other hand, make sure you “slap” the other player’s hand everytime he/she tries to steal the ball from you.
Passing – There are several types of basketball passing techniques: chest past, bounce pass, over the head pass, fake pass, etc. Make sure you understand them all. Most of the time in a basketball game, you will need to pass the ball while your teammate is moving. Make sure you pass in front of their routes. The key here is not to make them slow down to catch your passes.
Rebound – BOX OUT. Most players do not box out when they defense, do not forget this technique. Communication is also key.
Be patient and keep practicing. Your basketball skill will surely develop if you practice hard.
